Biography |
| Since the bands beginning in 1989, Damaged
have been at the forefront of the Australian extreme music scene.
With every sought after studio release and every blistering live performance
the bands reputation has grown so much so that the band has become
legendary for their intensity and pure aggression. Their signing to
Californian label, Rotten Records, has helped to spread recognition
of Damaged's own unique blend of musical styles to a world-wide audience. Damaged has never been able to fit easily into a predefined category, they may combine elements of death metal, grind core and hard core but neither label is entirely accurate. Hence the term “Hate core” was created to represent “pissed off people playing pissed off music”. Numerous line up changes have not stopped the band from delivering an outpouring of the most extreme and intense music that never lets up. The current line up of Hilly (guitar), Skitz (drums), Mohawk (bass) and Dave Saddington (vocals) seems to be the most coherent yet. Recent live performances have signaled the return of the trade mark aggression and intensity that Damaged is renowned for. Damaged is and always will be Hate core. |
